National Wine Education and Training Centre

The National Wine Education and Training Centre (NWETC) is managed by the South Australian Wine Industry Association which for 65 years has presented classes in wine appreciation.

The NWETC has developed an outstanding reputation for delivering fun classes that educate and inform, while offering the chance to try everything from Australia's finest world famous wines through to rare and exciting new releases.

Come along and see for yourself the experience, knowledge and teaching skills of the country's finest wine educators, and the most advanced, up-to-date and comprehensive range of wine education classes and activities.

Classes are held at the National Wine Centre of Australia, close to the city centre and McLaren Vale, south of Adelaide. In addition to NWETC courses, the National Wine Centre facilitates University of Adelaide programs in wine business, viticulture and winemaking.

Sensory Evaluation For Grape Growers

A wine sensory evaluation course for winegrape growers that will stimulate improved viticulture and business decisions. The focus will be on winetasting - the end result - leading to discussion on wine quality and price points, what is known about viticulture influences on wine composition and diagnose avenues for improving specific compounds in wine. The course also aims to educate the palate and to compare and contrast regional red and white wine styles.
